Mr. Prayasvin Patel

Mr. Prayasvin B. Patel (DIN: 00037394) is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University, USA. With over five decades of experience in the engineering industry, he has played a central role in shaping the growth and evolution of the Elecon Group.
He began his career as Sales Director at Prayas Casting Private Limited, one of the Elecon Group companies, and joined Elecon as Joint Managing Director before being appointed Managing Director in 1993. In 2006, he assumed overall leadership of the Elecon Group as Chairman and Managing Director.
Known for his hands-on leadership and focus on continuous improvement, Mr. Patel was instrumental in transforming the Gear Division into Asia’s largest industrial gear manufacturing operation. He also led the Group’s first international acquisition—the Benzlers-Radicon Group from David Brown Gear Systems—and spearheaded the development of the Bhanubhai Memorial Centre of Excellence (BMCE), an ultra-modern manufacturing facility.
Beyond business, Mr. Patel is actively involved in social initiatives spanning healthcare, education, and community development. His contributions have been recognised through several awards, including the Charotar Ratna conferred by the Rotary Club, Anand.
